Promoting and supporting mental health is an important component to achieving success personally and academically. According to the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI), 1 in 5 adults experience mental illness in the United States, and half of all chronic mental illness begins by the age of 14. Working together, we can support the mental health needs of students.

Harvest Best Academy Mental Health Services promote student’s academic, emotional, and social success by proving the following support services: 

  • Direct mental health support to students 

  • Crisis support in conjunction with support services staff

  • Professional development in mental health 

  • Modeling of evidence-based mental health interventions 

  • Connection to mental health resources

Harvest Best Academy partners with many organizations within the school and community. Students and families may access any of the following service providers below as well as Harvest Best Academy Student Support Service providers.

MinnesotaCare is a health care program for Minnesotans who qualify. To find out whether you qualify for MinnesotaCare, you must apply.

How do I apply for Minnesota health care?

Request an application by calling MinnesotaCare at (651) 297-3862 (Twin Cities Metro) or 1-800-657-3672 (toll-free). For TTY call 711 or 1-800-627-3529. Print the application from the Minnesota Department of Health website, complete it and mail it in.

Health Office Services

Health Office Services protect and promote student health for student academic success. Health Office Services provide emergency medical services, ongoing care for chronic conditions, and medication administration while coordinating immunizations and sharing healthy practices for classrooms.  

Current medical information is crucial to the Licensed School Nurse and other staff providing services.  Please inform the school of any changes in your child’s health. Information and forms may be found in the Health & Wellness section of the District’s website.
